"Thank you, Mendez"
Dear Mendez, I'm glad schools almost over but I don't think I'm ready to leave this place. You see, I've made pretty great friends here. Middle school was an amazing experience but it's an experience that I would never want to live in again. I've learned a lot at my time here; you have to choose wisely who you hang out with. Not everyone is nice. I came to this school not knowing anyone. I wasn't good at making friends, and I still am not. I'm not one to just come up to you and start a conversation. Sometimes I just want to be alone in my own little world. But for some reason I started making friends, I started being known. People are people, they aren't perfect. I remember how much I would stress over homework during 6th grade, it was awful. However, I do appreciate it because I now know that school will never be easy. I have made so many memories here with my friends, friends that have never left my side. They are the real reason why I always look forward to going to school. Though I may always think "ugh I wanna leave already" the truth is I'm not ready. There's so many things I want to do with my friends. After Middle School, I may never see them ever again. The thought of just leaving the people you love is terrifying. I'm just not ready. Maybe I'm just not ready to grow up either. Knowing that in a few days everyone's going to go their own separate ways. But someone very important to me told me, "Stop worrying about the future. You cant't forget me and I cant forget you. I just want to go about life, and you should too". So no matter where life takes me, or who I meet, I will never forget this school and the memories along with it. So, thank you Mendez, thank you for being a place where I met the important things in life.
